Hunters accepted by mother nature and specialized in ranged weaponry.

Origins

Troia, Nation of Beauty

Most Rangers can be found in the lush forest surrounding Troia, a nation that is abundantly blessed by nature.

Baron, Military Nation

Rangers of more of a combative mind can be found in the military nation of Baron, often around the mountain range. If part of the military, Rangers are put either in the Army Corps or the White Mage Corps.

Wilderness

There are Rangers spread out and living in the unclaimed lands of forests, plains, and mountain ranges of the world.

Proficiencies

Starting:

Daggers, Bows, Light Armor

Optional:

Axes, Blades, Clubs, Polearms, Staves, Throwing Weapons, Whips, Robes, Doublehand, Dual Wield, Shields

Specialties

Ranged Combat

Rangers are known for their excellent marksmanship, being able to unleash a barrage of arrows with amazing accuracy.

Limitation: Trade-offs

Though combat feats can be used as often as you like, there usually is some sort of trade-off, such as lower accuracy or damage than a normal attack.

Beast Mastery

The ranger’s experience in the wild allows a certain empathetic bond with beasts, allowing the Ranger to tame them and fight by their side.

Rangers can only have one beast tamed at a time, and the beast will fight for them until it dies by running out of HP or is released from the Ranger’s influence.

Limitation: Beast

Each Beast has its own set of abilities, and it decides if and when to use the various abilities that it knows.

White Magic

Those that are at one with nature often times have the spirit necessary to be able to use White Magic, though Rangers learn it slower than the White Mage does.

Limitation: Mana (MP)

White Magic spells expend MP.
